• Jessie states that Moonlight Man suffers from a disorder called acromegaly which causes enlargement of the hands and feet, as well as his forehead and chin. That is also why he is so tall. Carel Struycken, who portrays the Moonlight Man, does actually have this disorder.
• At the start of the movie, when the couple are driving in the car a radio news report can be heard discussing the grave robber ('The Moonlight Man')'s latest crimes.
• The book ("Midnight Mass") that Jessie throws at the dog in this movie was written by Kate Siegel's character from Hush (2016) which was also directed by Mike Flanagan. It has subsequently been made into a Netflix Mini Series written and directed by Flanagan.
