Follows Miley Cyrus in an interview with Alex Cooper, revisiting the moments, music and memories of Hannah Montana with never-before-seen archival footage and recreated sets from the show.

• Emily Osment took to Instagram to explain she wasn't able to take part in the special or go to the premiere because she was busy shooting the sitcom Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage. Mitchell Musso did not explicitly state why he skipped the reunion. Jason Earles, who played Miley's oldest brother, Jackson Stewart, is also missing from the special, as are others; however, he did attend the show's premiere alongside other original cast members, including Moisés Arias, Shanica Knowles, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, and Cody Linley.

• Miley promoted the special before Disney had anything planned. Inspired by advice from Dolly Parton, who told her to "promote it before it exists so no one can say no". Cyrus gathered fan reactions and brought them to Disney, essentially making the case that people were interested.

• The decision not to include more of the original cast in the special was intentional, with the production choosing to focus primarily on Miley Cyrus and her personal experience. According to producer Ashley Edens, the one-hour format led them to tell the story through Miley's perspective, rather than revisit the full ensemble, despite her continued affection for her former castmates.
