Alejandro Jodorowsky was 87 when Endless Poetry was released. His sons play both himself as a young man and his father. His son Adân Jodorowsky (age 37 at the time of the film) plays the central character of Alejandro as a young man. His son Brontis Jodorowsky (age 54) plays his father, Jaime. Adân also composed the film's music.
