• Before watching Fury Road on the big screen Tom Hardy didn't want to reprise his role of Max because of the difficulties he had on set. Once he saw the film he said he couldn't wait to get back into his leathers but he had to have a dog companion next time.

• A month before Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) was released, Tom Hardy signed up for a new Mad Max trilogy.

• Tom Hardy has reportedly been signed on for a 3 movie deal where he will reprise his role as Max Rockatansky in a prequel about Max and a prequel/sequel about Furiosa. There are no plans for a Fury Road sequel centred around Max at this time.
