• In one episode Sam and Eddie introduce themselves as Madeline Hayes and David Addison. This are the names of the main characters of the 1980s detective show "Moonlighting" starring Cybill Shepard and Bruce Willis. Like Sam, Madeline Hayes is a fallen star (model) and like Eddie, David Addison is a private detective.

• In the conference room of Valentik Investigations, there are two panels one with a thumb and an inscribed number 3, and another partial hand with an inscribed alphanumeric string "N7". It seems to part of a three panel "hand" landscape painting with the inscribed alphanumeric string "3 N7W3F9MV", originally found in the fourth season of Continuum (2012) and much later in Wisdom of the Crowd (2017). It was not till the fourth episode, after Sam decorated the office that the missing panel with the inscribed string "W3F9MV" is found inside Eddie's private office, near the door.
