Did you know
• The scenes in the sand dunes and on the beach were filmed in Northern Ireland just outside Newcastle Co Down with the beautiful Mourne Mountains as the backdrop.
• Having visited Florencourt National Trust house in Co. Fermanagh (Northern Ireland) last week the guide told us this was filmed in part of the house.
• The character of Count Fosco is rather different than that depicted in the novel. There, he is a man of sixty, quite fat, and more eccentric than malevolent. He also keeps canaries and mice as pets, and talks and sings to them often.
