• Early on, Terra talks with her boyfriend about techniques for killing zombies and the mindset needed for surviving the zombie apocalypse--both elements that resurface in her storyline during the final episode. Although it is never mentioned by name in this TV series, the LA Times articles by Christopher Goffard on which this show was based mention several times that Terra and her boyfriend were obsessive fans of the TV series "The Walking Dead." Goffard wrote, "In 'The Walking Dead,' [Terra] absorbed the first axiom of combat with zombies: They will keep trying to kill you until you destroy the head, by blade or screwdriver, machete or gun. She regarded the show as a fount of survival tricks. When a favorite character extricated himself from a bad spot by biting into an attacker's jugular, she thought, 'My teeth are a weapon.' More than technique, she said, she took a certain mind-set from the show: 'Kill or be killed.'"
