• The story is based on a folk/fairy tale from North American Indians. Finnish translation "Intiaanipäällikkö Elävä vesi" by Mervi Vyyryläinen-Väänänen is included in the Finnish language book "Taikapuu kuiskii" (Gummerus Junior, 1991), which itself is translated from the Slovak language book "Zázracný strom" (Mladé letá, 1990), compiled by Elena Chmelová.
