• Sony's first fully traditionally animated film since Eight Crazy Nights (2002).
• Genndy Tartakovsky wanted the animation to be reminiscent of Disney's Lady and the Tramp (1955), while also drawing inspiration from the works of Tex Avery and Chuck Jones' Looney Tunes shorts, particularly due to their emphasis on expressive animation.
• Originally to be distributed through New Line Cinema but was dropped by Warner Bros. Discovery in August 2024 as part of cost saving measures for the company. Eventually, Netflix would acquire the distribution rights on April 16, 2025.

Genndy Tartakovsky gives us an admittedly well-animated film where it's certainly raunchy and unrestrained, but not as funny or edgy as it thinks it is
