Brooke Stacy Mills

Born and raised right outside of Philadelphia, Brooke Stacy Mills's journey to becoming a television and film actor is a testament to her tenacity and talent. She first dipped her toes into the entertainment world as a model in her late teens, she found some success but felt something was missing. That "something" revealed itself in an acting class, where Brooke was bitten by the acting bug and never looked back. Undeterred by her modeling agent's discouraging remark that she looked "too ethnic" to work in TV or film, Brooke used his negativity as fuel for her fire.

Her perseverance paid off. Brooke landed a recurring role as Carrie Sturges on the Emmy-winning daytime drama As The World Turns. What was initially intended to be a brief summer romance blossomed into a two-year storyline-a happy accident that underscores the unpredictable nature of show business. During this period, she also had the thrill of playing Lou-Ann Levorosky in John Waters's cult classic Hairspray, an experience she fondly recalls. While building her acting career, Brooke also earned a degree in Film and Television Production from NYU, proving her dedication to the craft. Armed with her education and experience, she headed west to Los Angeles, where she quickly secured guest-starring roles on popular shows like Doogie Howser, M.D., Married... with Children, and Charles in Charge.

Just as her star was rising in LA, fate intervened. Meeting her future husband drew her back to the East Coast. With the arrival of their twins, Brooke gracefully shifted her focus to family, taking on a guest-hosting role at QVC. As her children grew, Brooke felt the pull of her first love-acting-and returned to the career that truly ignited her passion.

Most recent projects include playing Barb in the hysterical Netflix series, Tires, and her portrayal of Nurse Hardwick in The Good Nurse, which provided the incredible opportunity to work alongside the acclaimed Jessica Chastain-a career highlight and an invaluable learning experience. And though it remains a private treasure, Brooke cherishes the memory of stepping in for a table read of Limitless with Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper. Not a bad day at the office.
