Jesse Wigutow's prolific contributions to the entertainment industry as both a screenwriter and producer have resulted in beloved projects across film and television.
Wigutow holds sole screenplay credit on the upcoming Tron: Ares from Disney, which will open globally in theaters in October 2025 and star Jared Leto. As an executive producer, Wigutow just wrapped production on season two of the hit Marvel television series Daredevil: Born Again, which recently was renewed for a third season.
Having partnered with almost every major studio, Wigutow has been a consistent fixture in the studio system for over two decades, having written on films like 8 Mile, Tron: Legacy, Eragon, The Ruins, Bad Santa 2 and It Runs In The Family. Wigutow has additionally written a reboot of The Crow for Relativity, a live action feature of Thomas the Tank Engine for Mattel, World of Warcraft for Legendary, Descender for Sony, and has adapted book IP such as Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night for Sony and Anthony Bourdain's memoir Kitchen Confidential for New Line.
Wigutow first started his career out of AFI graduate school when he sold his spec screenplay Urban Townie to Warner Bros. with David Fincher and Brad Pitt attached.
He resides in Los Angeles.
