• Oranges and the orange tree are used for testing the ability to synthesize objects from the digital world. In Tron (1982) the very first item digitized was an orange.
• At the end of the film, Julian Dillinger runs a command on his computer that includes the word "Sark." This was the name of the program written by his grandfather Ed Dillinger in Tron (1982). When in the Dillinger system, Julian is given an identity disc that matches Sark's disc, and upon grabbing the disc Sark's original costume briefly flashes on screen.
• On April 29, 2024 it was announced by Disney that Jeff Bridges would return, making him the only actor to appear in all three films.
