Elise Schaap

Elise Schaap is a Dutch actress and creative producer acclaimed for her versatility across drama and comedy in both film and television.

She gained widespread recognition in the Netherlands and Belgium for her role as Danielle Bouman in the Netflix series Undercover (2019-2021), the feature film Ferry (2021), and its follow-up Ferry: The Series (2023). These projects firmly established her as one of the most recognizable faces in Dutch and Flemish entertainment.

Over the past several years, Schaap has consistently led commercially and critically successful projects across genres. From psychological thrillers to family films and character-driven streaming dramas, her performances continue to resonate with a broad audience.

She earned a Dutch Academy Award (Golden Calf) nomination for Best Actress for her lead role in Mijn Vader is een Vliegtuig (2021), directed by Antoinette Beumer, which opened the Netherlands Film Festival.

Upcoming projects include the Netflix original Amsterdam Empire (2025), a high-stakes crime drama set in the heart of the Amsterdam cannabis world, in which Schaap stars alongside Famke Janssen and Jacob Derwig. She also plays a lead role in the Amazon Prime Video crime series Bad Standing, directed by Diederik van Rooijen and Michiel van Jaarsveld.

Her work earned her the prestigious Televizier Star for Best Actor for three consecutive years (2019-2021), underscoring her popularity and range as a performer.
