Biography

Paul Merryman is a film & television producer with a focus on amazing true stories along with all things genre. He holds an MFA in Producing from the American Film Institute and a BS in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas at Austin. He started his career as an assistant to visionary film director Sam Raimi and quickly worked his way up the ladder. Following several years as Sam's development executive, he branched out on his own as an independent producer, producing the critically acclaimed Afghanistan War film The Outpost, directed by Rod Lurie and starring Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones, and Orlando Bloom. He maintains an active slate of development projects in addition to running production and line producing. He executive produced the indie rom-com Match Me if You Can, ran production for Hulu's body horror Clock and Hallmark's A Nashville Legacy, and produced the psychological thriller House of Abraham starring Natasha Henstridge and Lin Shaye.
