Joanna Kalafatis is an actress and producer based in Los Angeles, California. She has done film, commercial, theater, and voiceover work in both LA and NY, and is the President of York Films, a bicoastal production company.
She was born in New York and attended middle school and high school there, but she spent her early childhood in Greece. Though she studied economics at Barnard College, she later studied various acting techniques at Stella Adler, Annie Grindlay, UCB, and Lesly Kahn studios. She is a former member of the SkyPilot Theatre Company, has been in several film festival features and shorts, and worked on major video game franchises as well as commercials.
In addition to acting, Joanna also runs a travel blog at LosetheMap.com, and produces travel content for several magazines, websites, and travel and tourism companies.
