Did you know
• Although the rain slicked iguana shown early on appears to be a more tropical variety, Peru (the departure point of the flight) is home to the Microlophus peruvianus variety. The Peru Pacific lava lizard lives in Peru, Chile, and Ecuador.
• Pat O'Brien's character, Dan Hammer, is often referred to as simply Hammer. Riff Raff was released in 1947. Mickey Spillane's first Mike Hammer, I, the Jury, which was allegedly written in 9 days was published in 1947. One wonders whether Spillane had seen or was aware of the movie and liked the main character's name.
• Director Ted Tetzlaff traveled to Panama to shoot all of the exteriors, backgrounds and establishing shots for this film.
