After nearly 50 years of eye-poking and face-slapping, the Stooges decide to retire and tour the world with their dog, Moose. They start by touring America's national parks, however, with the stooges, it is truly a "kook's tour". This especially proves to be the case, for Larry, who despite his best efforts, simply cannot seem to catch a fish. Larry is driven to the height of frustration as he is continually outfished by Moe, Joe, Moose, and even his own hat!

Did you know

Although two more The Three Stooges films were planned in the 1970s (with Emil Sitka replacing Larry Fine), neither came to be, thus making this the final Three Stooges movie. Both Larry Fine and Moe Howard wore their hair "out of character" for this film to emphasize the idea of the Stooges being in retirement.

The Three Stooges' dog, Moose, was actually director Norman Maurer's own Labrador Retriever.

Their final film Kooks Tour has an odd history. Conceived in 1970 as a series of comedy travelogues showing the now retired Stooges hitting the road, the production was halted, due to Larry having a stroke. The unfinished pilot was padded out to sixty minutes with beauty shots of Yellowstone Park, and then shelved for several years. It was finally released for home use on Super 8, but few people were willing to spend $200 to see it.
