• During filming of the pilot episode, the producers still hadn't decided what to call the series, and were considering various choices including "Kitchen S.O.S." and "Ramsay to the Rescue". During the filming of the follow-up visit to Bonaparte's, Gordon Ramsay exasperatedly commented that "This is a living fucking nightmare!" after finding the restaurant in an even worse state than when he first arrived, which gave the inspiration for the show's final title.
