The number 48 is mentioned twice in the movie : first it's the number of the building that Salwa and Daniel live in , and it's the address of the place that Mostafa (Kareem Abdel-Azeez) asks Salwa to escape to during his fight with an agent in her neighbor's apartment. 48 is a reference to 1948, the year of Arab-Israeli War .

According to an interview , Amr Samir Atef who wrote the script mentioned that the idea of the movie came to him when he was on vacation with his wife joking with her about him being spy working for the Mossad , his joke represented in the movie in an earlier scene seconds before her kidnapping .. only Salwa's husband (Sherif Mounir)in the film actually meant his words.

Karim Abdel Aziz fractured his left foot during filming and had to receive physical therapy in Germany.
