• The original Director's Cut focused on the Annalynne McCord character based on the original script rather than the added role of the Russian mistress played by Kamalya Zahoor. Unbeknownst to the director or the rest of the cast, producer Jeff Most had guaranteed Zahoor's wife a major supporting role, produced and directed a separate music video with her singing in the club, and even shot scenes that were never scripted under the title "Scene X" during principal photography, which they later edited into the final cut.

• Tommy Flanagan co-starred with Kim Coates in Fox's outlaw biker series "Sons of Anarchy" as 'Chibbs' & 'Tig', respectively. Coates later starred in the similarly titled fantasy action film "Officer Downe" (2016).
