• The film contains multiple references to the legend of King Arthur: * Kelly-Anne's username on the poker website is LadyOfShalott, referencing a 19th-century poem called "The Lady of Shallot", by English poet Alfred Tennyson. In both Tennyson's poem and the original tale, the Lady of Shallott is a woman cursed to live in a tower, only able to view the world by looking in a mirror placed on the wall opposite her window. Although her confinement allows her to weave beautiful tapestries, should she ever leave the tower, she will die. One day, she sees Sir Lancelot riding by, and decides to follow him to Camelot. The Lady leaves the tower and begins to die but manages to crawl into a boat that takes her downriver to Camelot. When the boat washes up on shore, Lancelot helps a group of villagers collect her body. The story has long been read as an allegory about the isolation of artists and how earthly pursuits can destroy their creative endeavors. Like the Lady, Kelly-Anne lives in a tower and primarily interacts with the world through her computer (which is on the wall opposite her windows). Also like the Lady, Kelly-Anne's obsession with a mysterious man ends her modeling career. * Kelly-Anne's desktop wallpaper is the 1878 painting "The Lady of Shallot" by John Atkinson Grimshaw. * Ludovic Chevalier's surname is the French word for "Knight," like Sir Lancelot. * Kelly-Anne's artificial assistant is named Guinevere, the Queen of Camelot who had an affair with Lancelot. A painting of Guinevere and Lancelot hangs on Kelly's wall. * After winning the auction, Kelly drinks champagne from a silver chalice, similar to depictions of the Holy Grail, the artifact sought by Lancelot and the Knights of the Round Table.

• Kelly-Anne's final bet for the video is 21.5 BTC, i.e. bitcoins, which is a substantial amount of money. Although the value of bitcoin fluctuates daily, the time stamp on the security camera footage from the night of the auction reveals it takes place on October 3rd, 2022. The closing value for BTC that day was 19,044.07, making Kelly-Anne's winning bid $409,447.51.

• Director Pascal Plante was intrigued by the serial killer groupies, who pop up out of nowhere for each serial killer that makes the news, and are seen rooting for him at their trials. He wondered who were these people, but as he researched cyber crimes, he chose to reflect the technological aspect of our society into his thriller, thus making the protagonist a very modern psychopath.
