• The film was initially reported to not be ready in time to premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, however a rough cut was sent to the selection committee past the submission deadline. Thierry Frémaux and the rest of the selection committee viewed it less than 24 hours before Frémaux announced the year's selection, and gave the film a slot as a last-minute addition.
